With the beginning of September comes an almost archetypal expectation of new beginnings as so many of us associate this time with beginning a new school year. As Nature begins her winding down of the lushness of summer and the local farmers here in CT are offering mums and the first batches of winter squashes and gearing up for Halloween and the pumpkin season we are beginning to bid farewell to the lazy days of summer.  After taking the past month off to recover from surgery, I too am gearing up for the fall and a return to more activity here at The Wilcox Center for Psychotherapy and the Healing Arts.

Having the past few weeks to myself, slowing down, doing a lot of Shakti Swarupa Energetic Healing work on myself and a lot of meditation in the upper meditation garden has created a time of reflection. It has been a powerful reminder of how important it is to listen to my body and its needs for rest. It has been a powerful reminder of how important it is to listen to that soft inner voice that urges a return to quiet and stillness that restore the mind, body and spirit and recharge the inner batteries. I am emerging from this time with a clear commitment to providing myself more ongoing time to do this on a regular basis. Happiness and joy lie within those retreats into the inner realms of meditation and that sweetness spill out into the outer experience of life.

As I move into the busy schedule of courses and workshops, individual client sessions and life’s general routine I know the challenge is to create the retreat times on a daily and weekly basis. One of the things I am loving about the courses and workshops coming up, is that they are times of both working and dipping into the well of Consciousness. For the first time in a number of years I will be offering the Meditation for Daily Living course series in October, November and December in weekly two hour classes. How sweet it will be to share the power of meditation with the participants in these courses as they begin to explore meditation and add regular meditation practice to their lives. The new Shakti Swarupa workshops being offered are also pure sweetness and foster self nurturing and self care in such special ways. The Shakti Swarupa Body Type Analysis half day workshop is the foundation stone for individualized plans to support strength and wellness. The Crystals in Balancing, Strengthening and Healing Body, Mind and Spirit offers an opportunity to learn more about the crystal work in healing our own bodies through the balancing of the chakras and subtle energy channels with the crystals specific to our body types. The Introduction to Mantra and Sound Healing workshop is pure bliss! Everyone participating receives an individual healing mantra and instruction on its use. We will also be chanting Kirtan mantras of several powerful crystals in this workshop.

In addition to these wonderful half day workshops, a day long Law of Attraction in Action seminar offers both and introduction to conscious collaboration with the Law of Attraction in articulating and manifesting life goals. This is a working day with plenty of practical input and actual exercises in clarifying values, intentions and goals and aligning them with the Creative Power of the Universe.

I am inviting you all to dip into the power of these programs to energize and transform your experience and your life while having a lot of fun!
